The Grant that REALLY Can't Stop Giving

I guess I wasn't joking about the grant that keeps on giving. After finding out that the total amount of our grant had not been used after the grants had been given to Ardis; Stacey and Cayla; Cheri; and Karen, we discussed one more grant to fund the purchase of a classroom set of Pennies for Peace for Jennifer Hanson. Coupled with a donation from a class member, we had the money we needed to make this purchase via amazon.com. Amazon was not able to fill our order for Jennifer's books, so Jill (USD 507 business manager) placed the order with Barnes and Noble using a discount card she had on hand. Long story short, she got Jennifer's books for $72.08. That means we have just under $100 to fund yet another classroom need. Looks like it's time to brainstorm again!

I have good news, but you may be sick of me by now J The Amazon order was canceled for Jennifer as they were no available in the quantity requested. I was able to purchase the books through Barnes & Noble using a discount I received. With the discount I was able to get Jennifer’s books for $72.08 (awesome, right). Well that leaves just under $100 left to spend of the Grant Money provided by your Sunday School Class. Let me know how you would like to proceed.

Thanks!

  1. Update:

We granted the last $100 to Rita Shogren for use at the JH/HS library.

As far as we know, this grant has more than doubled from original amount. That is exciting!
